The RF2186 Vertical Flammability Tester is a critical testing instrument engineered to determine the vertical flame spread characteristics of textiles, specifically for children's sleepwear and decorative fabrics. This device is a mandatory standard for ensuring consumer safety against fire hazards in household textile products and apparel.
Technically, the RF2186 features a robust stainless steel chamber equipped with a glass observation window for safe monitoring during tests. It includes a standard burner and various specimen holders and clips to meet different testing regulations. For advanced operations, an optional automatic gas control system is available.
The instrument offers high precision with an adjustable timer control in 0.1-second increments. With physical dimensions of 330 x 370 x 840 mm and a weight of approximately 38 kg, it provides excellent stability for routine laboratory use. This tester fully complies with stringent international standards, including ASTM D6413, CALIF TB-117, DOC-FF3/71, 16 CFR 16-1615/1616, and GB/T 5455.
