This benchtop automatic kinematic measuring system is built to meet the most stringent specifications for kinematic viscosity testing. The instrument fully conforms to leading industry standards such as ASTM D445, D446, IP 71, ISO 3104, and other related specifications. Formulated for the automated measurement of kinematic viscosity in both transparent and opaque petroleum and solvent liquid samples, this device is the instrumental solution for laboratories requiring fast, accurate, and repeatable results.

Offering exceptional performance, this instrument has a very wide measuring range, from 0.6 to 5000 mm²/s. Precision is at the core of its capabilities, with a test bath temperature controller operating in a range of 20 to 110°C. Its accuracy level is extremely high, reaching ±0.01°C in the 20 to 100°C temperature range, and ±0.02°C at temperatures above 100°C. To ensure precise measurements on all sample types, the system utilizes reliable fiber optics for meniscus detection covering both transparent and opaque liquids.

The workflow is fully automated, encompassing every stage from start to finish. The system automatically performs viscosity & calibration time measurement, result calculation, and the print-out of results. Once the measurement is complete, an automatic cleaning cycle commences, which includes sample drain, solvent injection, solvent drain, and viscometer drying. The instrument's display shows all critical statuses, including measurement, calibration, cleaning status, and test parameters like tube constants and allowed measuring times.

The advanced cleaning and drying system offers full flexibility to the user. Pre-draining time, injection time, the interval between injections, the number of injections, and drying time can be configured individually for each tube and each solvent. The fluid drain and drying process uses compressed air (1.8 Bar), which eliminates chemical wear on the pump. A pulsating injection of 2-5ml of solvent per cycle is performed directly into the viscometer for effective cleaning.

Operational safety is assured through protective features, including alarms for air bubbles in the sample column and maximum temperature protection on the thermostat. Each unit is delivered as a ready-to-use solution, including one S-flow viscometer tube with a calibration certificate, a solvent container, and a waste container. The package is also enhanced with PC software for statistical calculation and data storage, an external printer, a complete starter kit, and spare parts for a 2-year period.
