Portable Sewing Thread Tension Meter with Dual Power Source

DESCRIPTION / TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

This is a Tension Meter for Sewing Machines, a precision instrument designed specifically to measure and help adjust the thread tension on industrial sewing machines. This device is an essential tool for achieving the best and most consistent quality stitched seams, replacing subjective manual adjustments with accurate data. The following are its detailed technical specifications and capabilities.

This instrument offers the high-precision measurement performance that is crucial for seam quality. With an accuracy of ±1% of full scale and ±1 digit, it provides highly reliable readings. It is available in various configurations to cover different tension ranges, from 1 cN up to 1000 cN, making it suitable for various types of threads, from the finest to the thickest. A high internal sampling rate (approx. 5 kHz) ensures that captured data is accurate and responsive.

Designed for flexibility and ease of use in a busy production environment, this tool is equipped with a dual power source. It can be operated using two AA batteries for full portability when performing checks on various machines, or it can be powered by an AC adapter for long-term stationary use at a workstation or QC post. The clear digital display with a fast update rate of twice per second provides instant and easy-to-read results.

Built for reliability, the instrument is equipped with an important protection feature. Its sensor has overload protection of up to 120% of its measurement range, safeguarding it from damage due to accidental thread tension spikes. The use of this tool is vital in the garment and sewing industries; by ensuring a proper and measurable thread tension, companies can significantly reduce quality issues such as skipped stitches, fabric puckering, and thread breakage, thereby improving efficiency and the final product quality.
