Oxidation Test Apparatus for Testing the Oxidation Stability of Mineral Insulating Oils
DESCRIPTION / TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The Oxidation Test Apparatus is a professional laboratory instrument designed for determining the oxidative stability of unused mineral insulating oils containing inhibitors. This device is also effective for evaluating the tendency of unused mineral insulating oils to form acids and precipitates both before and after the induction period.

The testing mechanism involves maintaining the sample at one hundred twenty degrees Celsius in the presence of a copper catalyst coil, while a constant flow of oxygen is passed through the system. The instrument measures the time required for the volatile acid generated by sample oxidation to increase to a neutralization value equivalent to zero point twenty-eight grams of KOH per gram. The oxidative stability of the sample is accurately represented by the induction period measured in hours.

Key features include an environmentally friendly and safe metal bath heating system, a microcomputer temperature controller with a digital display achieving high accuracy via a PT one hundred sensor, and a precision flow meter for gas control. The apparatus supports six simultaneous tests divided into two groups of three samples each, featuring a digital working timer, standard-compliant glass test tubes, a high-power solid-state relay for heating control, and an over-temperature alarm system for enhanced operational safety.
