Multi-Box ICI Pilling Tester for Knitted Fabrics and Wool

DESCRIPTION / TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Safeguard your brand reputation and ensure customer satisfaction with the industry-standard solution for evaluating a fabric's resistance to pilling. This tester accurately simulates the gentle rubbing and tumbling action that fabrics endure during normal wear, which is the primary cause of pill formation on the surface. It is an essential instrument for quality control, especially for knitted fabrics like woollen jerseys and other apparel where long-term appearance is a critical quality factor.

Maximize your laboratory's productivity with high-throughput, fully standardized testing. Available in 2, 4, or 6-box configurations, this machine allows you to test numerous samples simultaneously under identical conditions, drastically reducing testing time. Every parameter—from the dimensions of the cork-lined inner boxes and the rotation speed of 60 r/min to the sample carrier tubes—is precisely engineered to comply with key global standards such as ISO 12945.1, BS5811, and IWS Tm152 (Woolmark).

Experience reliable operation and user convenience designed for a busy laboratory environment. Featuring an easy-to-use digital counter, operators can effortlessly preset the exact number of revolutions required by the test method, and the machine will stop automatically upon completion. Its robust and heavy (93kg) construction guarantees stability, vibration-free performance, and long-term dependability for years of service.

Protect your brand reputation and ensure final product quality. Pilling is a major cause of consumer dissatisfaction and product returns. By using this tester, manufacturers can accurately predict a fabric's long-term aesthetic performance, select the right raw materials, optimize finishing processes, and provide tangible proof of their product's durability and superior quality, thereby strengthening customer confidence in your brand.
