ICI Pilling & Snagging Tester | Accurate & Automated Fabric Pilling & Snagging Testing
DESCRIPTION / TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
This textile testing instrument is an advanced two-in-one solution designed to replicate the normal wear effects on fabrics, including the formation of fiber balls (pilling) and yarn pulls (snagging). By mounting test specimens onto polyurethane (PU) tubes and placing them into cork-lined pilling boxes, the device simulates real-life wearing conditions through rotation at specified speeds and directions. Equipped with an intelligent program controller and an LCD display, operators can easily select standard modes or customize rotation speeds ranging from 20rpm to 70rpm for more in-depth research needs.
The system supports the simultaneous use of up to four pilling boxes, significantly boosting laboratory efficiency in handling large sample volumes. It also offers flexibility with optional snagging boxes for broader fabric functionality testing. Built to precise engineering standards, this device guarantees valid test results that can be directly compared with standard reference photographs for pilling assessment. The equipment complies with numerous prestigious international standards, including ISO 12945.1, BS 5811, and GB/T 4802.3, making it the gold standard for textile laboratories, garment manufacturers, and quality control agencies aiming for uncompromising product quality.
