This is a Mechanical Evenness Tester, a precision instrument designed to measure the degree and analyze the causes of unevenness in yarn, roving, and sliver. This device is a fundamental tool for diagnostics and quality control in spinning mills, helping to improve final product quality and reduce wastage. This instrument utilizes a reliable mechanical measurement system to analyze mass variation along the length of the material. Testing is conducted at a constant speed, with a circumferential velocity of the idler pulley at approximately 670 mm/min, to ensure uniform testing conditions. Its precision mechanical detection system, involving a lever system with a 1:100 ratio and special hammer weights, is capable of accurately detecting unevenness. To accommodate various material diameters, the device is equipped with two idler pulley slot width options, 1.58mm and 3.17mm.

The key feature that distinguishes this instrument is its ability to provide a visual and statistical representation of the test results via a graphical chart recorder. This recorder produces a physical diagram of the material's evenness profile, which is invaluable for in-depth analysis. Operators can select between two different recording paper speeds, "1.2 times the speed of the specimen" for a general overview or "one-tenth the speed of the specimen" for a more detailed graph, allowing for the identification of periodic unevenness patterns.
