DESCRIPTION / TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The wood pulp manufacturing process is the backbone of the paper and packaging industry. Understanding each stage in the production flow diagram is essential to ensuring energy efficiency, fiber quality, and sustainable plant operations. Below is a detailed explanation of the primary machinery involved in converting raw wood into high quality pulp.

Strategic Stages in Wood Pulp Processing

  1. Material Preparation and Crushing: The journey begins with selected raw wood logs. These logs are processed using a Wood Crusher to break down wood fibers into smaller fragments, facilitating cellulose extraction in subsequent stages.

  2. Material Transport System: Once crushed, the material is automatically moved via a Spiral Conveyor. This equipment ensures a consistent flow of raw materials to the processing units without interruption.

  3. Chemical Cooking and Mixing: The wood material enters a Spherical Digester to undergo high pressure and high temperature cooking to separate lignin from the wood fibers. Afterward, a Mixer works to blend the wood pulp with specific additives to maintain homogeneity.

  4. Distribution and Filtration: High performance Pulp Pumps are crucial for moving the pulp between stages. The filtration process is handled by a Hydrascreen to remove impurities or unwanted particles from the main fibers.

  5. Water Removal (Dewatering): Using a Long Wire Dewatering Machine, the water content in the pulp is significantly reduced to form denser fiber sheets.

  6. Washing and Storage: A Potcher machine is used to wash and bleach the pulp before it is finally channeled into the Pulp Chest for temporary storage, maintaining pulp consistency.

  7. Final Refining: The final crucial stage involves the Double Discs Refiner. This machine precisely grinds the fibers to improve inter fiber bonding strength, resulting in smooth and strong paper quality.
