FEATURE
DESCRIPTION / TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The measurement of viscosity using the Engler method is a standard and fundamental procedure for determining the flow characteristics of products such as petroleum oils, lubricants, tar, and asphaltic materials. Viscosity, or thickness, is a crucial physical property that directly impacts the performance, quality, and application of a fluid. This instrument brings that classic testing method into the modern era with the integration of digital control for unparalleled precision.

The core of this test is the comparison of a sample's efflux time against the efflux time of water, known as the standard water value (51 ± 1 second). This device is engineered to perform that measurement with a high degree of reliability. The sample is placed in an inner container made of high-quality stainless steel, ensuring corrosion resistance, ease of cleaning, and the absence of cross-contamination between tests, thereby maintaining the integrity of every result.

The primary advantage of this viscometer is its advanced temperature control system. Equipped with a digital display, an operator can easily set and monitor the temperature across a wide range, from 0 to 100°C. Most importantly, the instrument can maintain the temperature with an exceptional accuracy of ±0.2°C. This high thermal stability is the most critical factor in viscosity testing, as even the slightest fluctuation can significantly affect a fluid's viscosity results.

Every component is designed to support accuracy. The tested fluid sample is collected in a 200 ml graduated flask with a very tight volume tolerance of ±0.2 ml. This precision in both volume and temperature ensures that every measurement, from start to finish, is conducted under strict parameters, yielding consistent and accountable viscosity data in Engler degrees (°E).

By blending the time-tested Engler method with modern digital control technology, this instrument is the ideal solution for quality control laboratories in the asphalt, oil refining, and lubricant manufacturing industries. It offers ease of use, highly accurate and repeatable results, and a robust construction for long-term service.
